Admission
The request for postdoctoral registration must be made through the Application Portal, attaching the documents listed below, in a single PDF or in a single zipped ZIP file.
Required Documents:
1. Application form for the Graduate Academic Control (CAPG): https://capg.sistemas.ufsc.br/inscricao/index.xhtml
2. Letter of acceptance from the supervisor (permanent professor of the Program), including:
a. the specific period of completion of the Post-Doctoral Internship (day/month/year of beginning and end), considering that the post-doctoral internship will last for a minimum of three and a maximum of twelve months, and may be extended at the discretion of the collegiate delegate;
b. the area of concentration and line of research to which the project will be linked;
c. whether or not grants will be received from funding agencies or other sources.
3. Copy of the doctor’s degree (front and back), issued by an institution with a graduate program recognized by CAPES.
▪ If the diploma has not yet been issued, a protocol for issuing the diploma must be provided.
4. Lattes Curriculum updated or, in the case of foreigners, another curriculum must be attached including the ORCID number.
5. Work plan, containing:
▪ Summary research project (maximum 15 pages), including activities execution schedule;
▪ Teaching activity, if any;
▪ Publications, participation in scientific events and research group meetings.
– If the research project involves activities governed by specific rules, the respective licenses and authorizations must be attached to the process.
6. Identity card (RG and CPF), or in the case of foreigners, Passport Number
7. Proof of receiving a scholarship from funding agencies or other sources, if the candidate has a scholarship and/or research.
IMPORTANT: In case you DO NOT RECEIVE A BAG, the necessary documentation is:
a) Declaration of financial capacity to defray personal expenses and to cover expenses related to carrying out the research project;
b) Declaration that they have full-time and exclusive dedication to the activities to be developed during the post-doctorate;
c) If the candidate has an EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP: a statement from the institution or company must also be attached, authorizing the removal from work activities to carry out the post-doc;
d) If there is NO employment relationship: Voluntary Service Adhesion Term (available at: Voluntary Service – Adhesion Term – External to UFSC) (in portuguese) duly signed by the program coordinator, the candidate and the witnesses. The signature that is the responsibility of the Dean of Graduate Studies will be carried out digitally in the process when it is forwarded to CBO/PROPG for analysis.
Upon receipt of the Request, it will be analyzed by the PPG within 30 days and, if approved, the PPG Office will process the request with the Dean of Graduate Studies for registration.
The Post-Doctoral Internship is regulated by NORMATIVE RESOLUTION no. 173/2022/CUn.
